𩸠The Texas Rangers win the 2023 World Series
âď¸ Good morning and welcome back to The Nosebleeds.
đ¤ Everything is bigger in Texasâthe Rangersâ big bats carried them to their first World Series championship in franchise history.
âąď¸ No time to waste, letâs get going.
âď¸ The Commissionerâs Trophy is staying in Texas
The Texas Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night to win their first World Series in franchise history.

Texas made quick work of the Diamondbacks, winning the series in five games, including all three games in Arizona. Superstar shortstop Corey Seager took home his second World Series MVP awardâbut his marquee moment came in Game 1 of the series with his two-run homer in the bottom of the 9th inning to tie the game, which the Rangers later won via a walk-off HR off the bat of Adolis Garcia.
Texas didnât lose a single playoff game on the road, the first time to ever achieve this insane feat.
The Texas Rangers went a perfect 11-0 on the road this postseason en route to their first ring.
No MLB team has ever done that in history.

The Rangers didnât build their team in a traditional way. They didnât have loads of young talent that they developed and eventually became homegrown superstars. Rather, Texas threw bags of money at some of baseballâs top players in free agency, including Corey Seager, Marcus Semien, and Nathan Eovaldi. Their investment has clearly paid off, as they went from a 60-win team in 2021 to todayâs World Series champions.
Every time a team wins a championship, especially their first in franchise history or first in decades, you see videos of how much these teams and championships mean to people. As far as Rangers fans are concerned, there is no better example than this guy right here:
My dad (a lifelong Rangers fan) breaking down watching his team win their first World Series.
When my mom joked that he cried more than when I was born he looked at me and said âIâve known you 23 years, Iâve known the Rangers all my life.â #GoandTakeIt#WentandTookItâ Cole Krutzfield (@krutzfield)

Love that stuff.
Only 146 days until the 2024 MLB season!
đ¤ MLB Trivia
Corey Seager became the 4th player ever to win multiple World Series MVP awards.
Question: can you name the other three players to win the award multiple times?
Answer at the bottom.
