šŸ©ø Prime Time Football

ā˜€ļø Good morning and welcome back to The Nosebleeds.

šŸƒ Deion Sandersā€™ Colorado Buffaloes are must watch television every time they take the field.

šŸ¤Æ Cannot believe this is already the 30th edition of Nosebleed Sportsā€”letā€™s dive in.

šŸ¤  ā€œItā€™s Personalā€

You have one week to live, and you can only watch one more sporting event for the rest of your life. What should you watch?

  • NFL RedZone? Nope.

  • MLB Postseason race? No sir.

  • WNBA Playoffs? ā€¦

If you could only watch ONE more sporting event, it should be Deion ā€œCoach Primeā€ Sandersā€™ Colorado Buffaloes. But itā€™s not just because of Coach Prime, this team has some absolute ballers. Travis Hunter (pre-lacerated liver) dominates on offense AND defense, and Deionā€™s kid, QB Shedeur Sanders, is starting to take some of the NFL #1 overall pick hype away from Caleb Williams.

The combination of the buzz that Coach Prime has created for a team that won only 1 game last season, along with the high-end talent on the roster, Colorado games have become marquee sporting events of every week. And that was certainly evident in Coloradoā€™s 43-35 double OT victory over Colorado State last Saturday.

Hats-off to Colorado State. They played an awesome 58 minutes of football in a hostile environment, with only their students and alumni rooting them on. But even an 8 point lead with Shedeur Sanders and co. pinned on their own 2-yard line with 2 minutes remaining wasnā€™t enoughā€”as the young QB marched the Buffaloes down the field to tie the game with only seconds remaining.

When it mattered most, Shedeur could not be stopped. He put Colorado on his back and carried them to victory with plays like this:

But it isnā€™t just Coach Primeā€™s aura and personality that have everyone and their mom tuning in to watch this team, it is the relationships he has built with his players that is so special. A true leader and motivator of men, exemplified below:

Now that is a coach.

Coloradoā€™s story continues on Saturday with their biggest match-up of the year (so far), as they take on 10th-ranked Oregon in Eugene. All I have to say about this match-up isā€¦

Tune. In.

šŸ‘‹ Bye-bye Babcock

Mike Babcock has been fired by the Columbus Blue Jackets before he got behind the bench for a single game.

Babcock should have never been given a chance to coach in the NHL again after the stunts he pulled in some of his past coaching stints. If you donā€™t know about Babcockā€™s background, read this story of what he did to Mitch Marner in his rookie season. Sickening stuff seeing someone turn a young kidā€™s dream into a nightmare.

But a story told by Paul Bissonnette on the Spittinā€™ Chicletā€™s podcast a little over a week ago, was the straw that finally broke the camelā€™s back, as this story began a formal investigation into Babcockā€™s antics.

Everyone who has ever played under Babcock, all say the same thing about him, and that isā€¦

He is a piece of shit.

Good riddance.

šŸ¦„ One-way Ohtani

Possibly the greatest individual season of baseball that we have ever seen, has officially come to an end.

Shohei Ohtani had season-ending elbow surgery on Tuesdayā€”concluding his legendary 2023 campaign.

But that isnā€™t the worst part. Reports have said that Shohei will be ready for the 2024 MLB season, but only as a hitterā€”he will not pitch next season.

The announcement that Shohei will only hit next year makes his upcoming free agency even more interesting. Will this cost him hundreds of millions of dollars? Will he opt for a one-year deal to prove to the league his elbow is 100%? Only time will tell.
