🩸 NFL Week 3: Travis Kelce and Co. show out in front of Taylor Swift

ā˜€ļø Good morning and welcome back to The Nosebleeds.

šŸ’ Travis Kelce is the definition of you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

šŸ’˜ Even though Week 3 was filled with love stories, there was still a full slate of football played—we’ll discuss all of it.

āŖļø Week 3 Recap

āļø Game of the Week: Dolphins 70 (3-0), Broncos 20

The Miami Dolphins gave us the greatest offensive performance in the history of modern football.

  • 70 points: the 2nd most all time, only trailing the Washington Redskins who scored 72 points in 1966 (Miami would’ve broke the record too, but elected to take a knee with time winding down while in field goal range).

  • 726 yards: an NFL record.

  • 96.5 fantasy points: the combined fantasy points of Miami’s RBs Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane (31 rushes for 285 yards, 11 catches for 90 yards, and 8 TDs).

Through three weeks, the Dolphins have been the best team in the NFL and QB Tua Tagovailoa is the betting favorite to take home the league’s MVP award. Couldn’t script a better start to the season for the Dolphins.

Also… holy god the Broncos awful.

49ers 30 (3-0), Giants 12 (1-2)

Niners are the best team in the NFC—beat the Giants with ease.

Lions 20 (2-1), Falcons 6 (2-1)

I don’t know how Desmond Ridder is a starting QB in this league—if you can slow down Bijan, you will beat the Falcons.

Chargers 28 (1-2), Vikings 24 (0-3)

The Chargers tried their best to lose this game, but the Vikings proved to be even bigger losers as they hand LA their first win.

Packers 18 (2-1), Saints 17 (2-1)

Jordan Love leads the Packers to an 18 point 4th quarter comeback win in their home opener at Lambeau.

Texans 37 (1-2), Jaguars 17 (1-2)

C.J. Stroud gets the 1st win of his career and is looking promising through his first three career starts.

Browns 27 (2-1), Titans 3 (1-2)

Myles Garrett and the Browns defense proves yet again that they are one of the best defensive units in the league and a real contender in the AFC North.

Bills 37 (2-1), Commanders 3 (2-1)

No more panic in Buffalo over their Week 1 performance—they have dominated their opposition for two consecutive weeks. Huge matchup against the Dolphins next week.

Colts 22 (2-1), Ravens 19 (2-1) (OT)

Seems like the Ravens lose a couple of these type of games every season... Gardner Minshew led the Anthony Richardson-less Colts to an OT victory—they now lead the AFC South.

Patriots 15 (1-2), Jets 10 (1-2)

Bill Belichick’s boys get their first win of the year over the Jets.

Zach Wilson has showed no signs of improvement from his first couple seasons… he continues to suck balls.

Seahawks 37 (2-1), Panthers 27 (0-3)

Seattle puts up 37 points for the second week in a row and improve to 2-1.

Chiefs 41 (2-1), Bears 10 (0-3)

Who would’ve thought that Chicago @ Kansas City would turn out to be the biggest game of the NFL season.

I guess Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are official, as she was at Sunday’s game sitting next to Kelce’s mom.

Travis was probably more nervous for this game than last year’s Super Bowl, but luckily he was playing against a team with a linebacker for a quarterback. 69 yards (nice) and a TD for the league’s best tight-end in front of his new lady friend, who we saw leaving Arrowhead together.

The ultimate ā€œact cool broā€ look… he knows he’s swinging above his weight class.

And it seems like the Swfities are shipping it:

Cardinals 28 (1-2), Cowboys 16 (2-1)

Just when the Cowboys start looking like the best all-around team in the NFL, they lose to the lowly Cardinals… typical.

Steelers 23 (2-1), Raiders 18 (1-2)

The Raiders could’ve easily won this game if Josh McDaniels wasn’t an idiot.

Eagles 25 (3-0), Buccaneers 11 (2-1)

Scorigami!

Bengals 19 (1-2), Rams 16 (1-2)

Burrow makes it through the whole game with his calve injury and Ja’Marr Chase finally shows up. The Bengals are in the W column, much to the dismay of the rest of the AFC’s top teams.

šŸ… Fantasy Football Week 3 MVP

Remember, this award is not for the best fantasy performance of the week, but rather a performance that turns a fantasy loss into a win in one of the final games of the week.

The Fantasy Football Week 3 MVP is…

Ja’Marr Chase: 26.10 PTS

  • 12 receptions

  • 141 yards

The 2nd overall pick in most leagues has finally arrived. Better late than never.

🩸 Bloody Good Play of Week 3

Mike McDaniels has the Miami Dolphins looking like the 73-9 Golden State Warriors.

šŸæ Week 4 Watchlist

Thursday Night Football: Lions @ Packers

The best primetime game of the week is the first game of Week 4 in a battle for the NFC North lead.

Sunday - Early Slate: Dolphins @ Bills

Game of the year so far.

Sunday - Afternoon Slate: Patriots @ Cowboys

We’ll see if the Cowboys can rebound from an embarrassing loss in Arizona against New England—one of the league’s best defenses.

Sunday Night Football: Chiefs @ Jets

Really wish Aaron Rodgers had both of his Achilles intact for this one…

Monday Night Football: Seahawks @ Giants

Interesting MNF matchup that I expect to be a very competitive game.
